Radville Fire Hall

Driftstone Consulting Inc. (DCI) was awarded the project through our direct and consistent relationship with DSI Contracting. This project replaced the old fire hall that was previously burnt down. DCI assembled a team of experienced professionals to complete the multidisciplinary scope of works, with direct and consistent communication with the contractor and RM. As the previous building burnt unexpectedly, our team recognized the need for the fast tracked project to serve the community with minimal impact.

The conventional wood frame building on concrete piles and grade beam, included a space for the town and RM under one roof. The amalgamated services allowed both to utilize the same building. This building includes an office area, chambers of commerce, separate meeting space, fire hall and town shop.

Through the design build process, mitigated the amount of change orders required, as the contractor was part of the design meetings to provide input on constructability.
