Our partnership's logo symbolizes support and growth. It is our intent to plant and nurture a seed of opportunity, momentum, and growth as it relates to reconciliation. It is our role to ask how we can help and what we can do to benefit the indigenous communities in which we work.
Driftstone Consulting is proud to share our indigenous partnership, Driftstone Pakitinam Partnership. This partnership offers consulting engineering and project management services throughout our service area.
“Pakitinam” is a Cree word meaning “to seed, to provide something, to leave something behind”. This represents the purpose of our new partnership: through our work with indigenous communities, we want to plant a seed of inspiration and growth. We want to give back in a transparent and meaningful way directly to the communities that we are working in. We also want to continue to learn and grow as we continue on the path of reconciliation.
As part of this commitment, we commit to donate a percentage of all project revenue obtained through the Driftstone Pakitinam Partnership directly to the indigenous communities that we worked in or for. We also commit to donating a scholarship fund for indigenous post-secondary students for work completed through the partnership that was not tied to a specific indigenous community. In coordination with this partnership, we also commit to proactively engaging in opportunities to learn about indigenous culture and issues of significance.
